Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is a Colombian model who was raised and born in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila de Vergara is her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides beef to the meat industry. She is the mother of five brothers and sisters. She went to a private, bilingual school which offered Spanish and English. When she completed her dental school in the field, she started working in the television and modeling industry. Sofia did not get noticed at the beach by an experienced photographer. It led to the possibility of her being spotted in various modeling roles and television roles. It was her turn to be a runway model aged 23. The travel show she hosted with her co-host was Fuera de serie (1996) from 1995 until 1998. This gave her exposure to American audiences. Her first film role was in the romantic comedy Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett, a character from the American TV series Modern Family (2009), was her breakthrough part. The character she played was nominated for four Emmys between 2010 and 2013 for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Sofia lives with her son Manolo in Los Angeles.
